What is FSSAI ?

Establishment

FSSAI was established by Former Union Minister Dr Anbumani Ramadoss, beneath Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006.

Who needs to get FSSAI Registration ?

As per Section 31(1) & 31(2) of  FSS Act, 2006 every Food Business Operator in the country is required to be licensed/registered under the Food Safety &Standards Authority of India. The licensing and registration procedure and requirements are regulated by Food Safety & Standards (Licensing and Registration of food Business) Regulations, 2011.

  • 3CENTRAL LICENSING

FBO likes a wholesaler, hawkers, club, canteen, Dhaba, hotel, restaurants, distributor, supplier, and retailer, food vending establishments, and storage with annual turnover not exceeding 12 lakh per annum.

Information about FSSAI State License to business is based on The rules directing this license are:

FBO likes supplier, wholesaler, food vending, establishments or Dhaba, club, distributor, retailer, canteen and restaurants with an annual turnover of within Rs. 12 lakh to up to Rs. 20 corers.

Details information about the Following Food Businesses requires applying for FSSAI central license by the governing authority:

Food Business Operators like restaurants, retailers, distributors, and suppliers with an annual turnover of more than Rs. 20 core. Dhabi, club, canteen, and other food vending establishments with branches spread in more than one state and an annual turnover of more than Rs. 12 lakh.
